W. James Gealy, Jr., MD

Dr. Ballesteros received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Reno Nevada with a Minor in Analytical Chemistry. In June of 2022, she went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, Arizona. Soon after she completed her Residency program in Community Health Optometry at the Community Health Centers of the Central Coast. During her residency, she became fond of the Central Coast and decided to make a home here with her husband and young daughter.

 

Though Dr. Ballesteros enjoys seeing patients of all ages, she has a special interest in pediatric and contact lens exams. She prides herself on providing the highest level of care for her patients.

 

During her academic career, Dr. Ballesteros had numerous academic accomplishments and leadership roles. She had the distinct honor of being elected into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. She held the office of President in her senior year, President of the National Optometric Student Association AZCOPT chapter, and Vice President for the Vision Rehabilitation Club.
