Marques J. Bostic, OD
Dr. Bostic is a Licensed Optometrist and a new resident of San Luis Obispo. He most recently lived in Springville in the Southern Sierra Foothills while practicing at a Community Health Center serving migrant farm workers in the Central Valley. Prior to moving to California in 2019, Doctor Bostic worked most of his optometric career at a Community Health Center in rural Western Maine, as well as at long-term care and correctional settings across Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
He is a graduate of the State University of New York, State College of Optometry in New York City, and residency trained in ocular disease at the New Hampshire Veterans Affairs Medical Center. This led to an interest in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and other ocular disease in addition to routine vision care, primary eye care and contact lenses.
In his free time, he enjoys running, mountain biking, hiking, surfing and the arts. In fitting with his public health interests, he is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
