I have been exceedingly pleased with the results of my recent Vitrectomy surgery to repair a torn macula or as some refer to it, a macular hole, in my left eye. The surgery was performed by Dr. Michael Heeg. The Vitrectomy surgery hastened the growth of a cataract and about 4 weeks ago Dr. James Gealy replaced the lens in my left eye. Today, if I work at it, I can see 20/20. I will always have a small irregulatiry in the macula, but it is a small problem compared to what I had happen. Thank you SLO Eye Associates.

I am writing this letter in regard to my visit at your facility on Tank Farm Road in April. I came into your facility to see if my frames could be replaced because they had broken and were being held together by ponytail holders. I had never been in your facility because I had just moved from Bakersfield when they broke. However, I could not afford to return to Bakersfield to have them fixed. So, I came into your facility during my lunch hour at noon to see if you could help me out by replacing my frames.

I spoke with the lady at the eye glass counter and she helped me get new frames for a substantially lower price than I have ever paid in Bakersfield. The lady got me in and out of there with a new pair of frames and enough time to still have a half hour left of my hour lunch and in a better mood than when I arrived.

I am telling the honest truth that this was the best customer service and friendliness that I have ever received in my entire 50 years on this planet and thought it was very important to let you know this. I assure you that I will return when an exam is needed and will also tell all my friends that they should have all their eye issues handled at your place of business.

I think she has a real gift for dealing with people, with me she is warm and fun, but I have no doubt that she has the ability to gauge the patients and is equally appropriate for all sorts of personalities.
